This years Crimson X Saira Shakira Wedding Range 2024 has moved away from multihead embroideries to embrace couture surfaces. In our second reveal, we have embraced the Art Deco Movement in all its dramatic, glitzy, ahead of its time Modernity. Youll see bold florals encompassing the stylised geometric shapes created by delightful patterns of the most delicate jaalis. Youll see a lot of couture surface creations – the smallest charlotte cut beads, the perfect balance of matt and lustre crystal pipes, the ancient art of dapka naqshi, done using metal wires in a criss cross pattern, crystals and sequins in a host of shapes, all painstakingly sourced in gorgeous shades of sea green and aqua. This is the most delightful interplay of color, sophistication and glitz, perfected over many months.

The dupatta doesnt have a trace of multihead work – the entire fabric is hand embellished in brilliant crystals and comes together with an exaggerated, entirely handworked dupatta brooch cinching it at the shoulder. The lehnga fabric comes in two parts – rawsilk and a custom developed gota lappa. The fabrics can be stitched to create a statement making, striped lehnga such as the one Maya wears. Our more understated clients may prefer to use the gota lappa as a gorgeous, wide finish at the bottom of their silk lehnga.
